The travelling public want to make informed decisions about their journey, based on up-to-date travel information. This helps to ease congestion, give passengers a choice and is a critical part of any high performing transport network.
We design, provide and manage transport information solutions across the road and rail networks. We are responsible for over 8,000 assets across the UK’s motorways including variable message signs, emergency telephones, CCTV and safety cameras In addition we design and supply passenger information systems to over 450 railways stations in the UK, working with train operating companies and Network Rail to keep over 132 million passengers a year moving.
In addition we play a leading role in developing Urban Traffic Management Control systems which integrate rail, road, air and bus information. We also support and contribute to initiatives such as Transport Direct and the Real Time Train Information service.
To support this real time information flow, we proactively promote upcoming works to give the public the opportunity to plan their travel in advance.
